As City Of Culture transforms Hull I’m sure we can all agree that we want this exciting time to last longer but when the year passes we will be forced to make its legacy live on.
Mr Logan (Deputy head at Malet Lambert) strongly believes that it is crucial to make the most of this wonderful year and strongly encourages all youngsters to make the most of this year.
He thinks that you should not only enjoy all the events now but also look back on the event with fond memories and build the legacy of 2017.
He continued to express the importance of “not letting it pass you by' and to do this he stressed the significance of attending events that interest you and getting involved.
I feel that leading up to City Of Culture there wasn’t enough information and awareness spread out across the country and also just in the city.
Mr Logan and I both shared the opinion that the scheme hasn’t included schools enough and we believe that if they had visited pupils they could’ve sculptured some of the events around their interests.
This would increase the chance of youngsters attending the events and helping them engage in the City Of Culture. If they want the most successful year possible there needs to be something for everyone everywhere and some youngsters will fail to find something that they don’t want to miss and this has got to be down to a lack of communication with youngsters.
Will this affect the likelihood of building a legacy for City Of Culture?
