Year 9 were treated to a lively, humorous play about options after GCSE and the pros and cons of university, by theatre group Performance in Education.
Delivered by three young actors, the show centred around three school friends deliberating over what to do when they finish their exams.
It follows them as they dispel myths surrounding university and as they look at the different paths they can take to get to their future careers.
Performance in Education use drama and comedy to address different life issues in an engaging way for young people. They also deliver shows that focus on the dangers of drinking, arson, substance misuse and driver/passenger safety.
The play was performed in short sketches involving songs, slapstick comedy and audience interaction – much to the shock and hilarity of the audience when one actor ran screaming through the chairs!
One group of students commented, “It was good to watch and really funny, and I understand the message they were getting across too.”
Performance in Education said that Malet Lambert students had been “an excellent audience and very receptive.”
