At Malet Lambert, pastoral care means ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to realise their potential and ambitions. On joining the school pupils are placed into mixed ability tutor groups and remain there for their five years at the school.
The form tutor therefore has a very important role in your child's life at school. He or she is the first point of contact for the pupils and for the parents. The form tutor takes an active role in the monitoring of the progress of the pupils, encouraging and supporting as required and communicating with parents informally or more formally at parent's consultation evenings.
Each team of form tutors is supported by a Learning Coordinator:
Year 7 Learning Coordinator - Kerry Palmer
Year 8 Learning Coordinator - Wendy Gibson
Year 9 Learning Coordinator - Cath Drury
Year 10 Learning Coordinator - Sonia Ellerington
Year 11 Learning Coordinator - Paul Bell
The Learning Coordinators are in turn supported by a Key Stage Coordinator:
Key Stage 4 Coordinator - Rob Savage
Key Stage 3 Coordinator - Paul Trainor
