Free School MealsThe Free School Meals InitiativeHull City Council have introduced healthy school meals which represent good value. All meals meet the latest government’s food standards. Secondary children may choose from a range of healthy food and drink items which are individually priced. Secondary children who qualify for free school meals can spend up to £1.80 per meal. In addition children must attend a school within Hull on a full time basis up to the age of 16 years or attend a sixth form school. How do I apply?The parent or carer who receives the qualifying benefit needs to complete an application form (form EWB1). Forms are available from all Customer Service Centres or as a printable download from here. After filling in the form you can post it to Welfare Benefits or send it into school and we will process it for you. Unless you are applying on the basis of Child Tax Credit you do not need to send any documentary evidence of income with your form. We will make the necessary checks on your behalf. If you are applying on the basis of Child Tax Credit you need to submit a copy of your latest Tax Credit Award Notice with form EWB1. |
