The ICT & Business Studies department at Malet Lambert is pleased to announce that it will now start to provide Law as a single option choice for years 10 & 11 from September. This will be available as an option choice on next month’s Options Evening where you can find out more information about the course.
The school has 6 dedicated ICT rooms across the site with Law taking place in one of these. All rooms have colour/b&w printing and scanning facilities.
The course we will deliver will be the OCR GCSE in Law. This qualification will encourage students to be inspired, moved and changed by following a broad, coherent, satisfying and worthwhile course of study and explore ways in which legal, cultural, historical, moral, political, religious and social factors interact to shape the world in which we live today. It will prepare candidates to make informed decisions about further learning opportunities and career choices.
The course is made up of four units:
As this is a brand new course to the school, extra-curricular activities have yet to be arranged. We will hope to arrange guest speakers and visits to local Law firms in due course.
