In June 2017 we reintroduced a house system, something which was last used at Malet Lambert many decades ago.
The idea behind the house system is to create a strong community feel amongst our pupils, plus a healthy sense of competition between the houses. All pupils wear a tie that corresponds to their house colours. Each house also has its own dedicated pastoral team.
Throughout the year, inter-house competitions will be run my departments within the school on a range of disciplines, from baking to spelling to entrepreneurship.
Pupils will earn points from winning these competitions, taking part in the annual Sports Day, good conduct in class, attendance and outstanding academic work.
Each week, the total points for each house will be updated on score boards in The Forum, until the winning house for the entire year is announced in July.
Malet Lambert have six houses, each with its own ethos. The names, logos and colours for each house were inspired by our school badge.
