All pupils follow the new national curriculum qualifications for pupils aged 11 to 16, including the new GCSE subjects assessed on the 9 - 1 scale. We provide a programme of core study including GCSE English literature, English language, maths, sciences, a humanity, religious studies, the European computer driving licence (ECDL) and non - qualification PE, games, PSHE and British values. Pupils will begin their courses in ECDL and religious studies in Year 9.
Pupils are able to select guided choices from a range of GCSE and BTEC subjects across the faculties of expressive and creative arts, technology, languages, humanities and P.E. We also provide the EBACC qualification for pupils to obtain GCSE pass in maths, English, a science, a language and a humanity subject.
