If you've ever been to Malet Lambert School, you'll notice we have some colourful residents situated around the site.
Appearing around a corner, in a classroom or office, or just casually watching our students having lunch in the Forum, you'll find Lara Croft, Mr T, an Avatar and Thor, amongst many others.
These papier mache giants are created each year by our GCSE students for their Art coursework. They take hours of grafting with wire, newspaper and wallpaper paste, and are finally lovingly painted to bring them fully to life. Often, they will go on a little journey and be displayed in various places around Hull.
This year is no exception and students are currently putting the finishing touches to their models. Some are already adding colour, whilst others are finalising the folds of fabric and the surface of skin, before getting to that crucial stage.
Take a look at some of the uncanny likenesses our students have produced below, and see if you can guess who they are (answers underneath!)
