Hull Ready Hub is a team made up of three to four students from various different schools that come together without any teachers help (well maybe a little!) and they organise events for pupils from various different schools like: Gillshill, Cavendish, Victoria Docks and Mersey.
On Tuesday the 8th of March year 5 pupils from schools all around Hull came into Malet Lambert and moved around multiple stalls set up by different businesses.
There was Millie, a young 13 year old girl who has set up her own business. She made personalised mugs, phone cases and bags and asked the pupils on the day to design their own superhero logo and the six winners logos would be placed on a mug.
Next there was our in school STEM who decided to bring in plugs and have the young children rewire them with many of our own Year 8 and Year 9 students helping out.
In addition there was St Johns Ambulance who gave the students a lesson on how wrap bandages on the hand, head and arm also the children where told how to act in a situation where medical attention was needed.
Additionally SENtal came in and talked to the Year 5 pupils about how important first impressions and interviews are. SENtal then proceeded to get the children to introduce themselves in a formal matter to each other.
Also there was a representative from Tesco who set up a stall and had the children design a new logo for Tesco and talked to the children.
