Malet Lambert School is proud to have hosted Teachmeet, a conference for teachers in Hull and East Yorkshire to discuss research, teaching ideas and techniques.
More than 150 teachers attended Malet Lambert School on 10th November as part of an initiative which aims to share best practice within education.
The event featured Educating Essex’s Vic Goddard, the charismatic head teacher of Passmores Academy, and a host of other teaching professionals speaking on practices and innovations.
This conference was organised by The Education Alliance, a collaborative partnership between three founder schools; Hunsley Primary, South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College, and Malet Lambert School.
Malet Lambert School Deputy Headteacher Stephen Logan said: “It is a great honour for our school to of hosted Teachmeet Hull and East Yorkshire. We are always looking to be part of innovative approaches towards teaching and learning.
“The event was a wonderful opportunity for teachers to come together and share ideas on working, and to discuss effective and inspiring methods of teaching.
"We are very grateful to all sponsors, thank you."
Vic Goddard, the keynote speaker at Teachmeet Hull and East Yorkshire, said: “Hull is a long way from Essex but the Teachmeet being held at Malet Lambert School is a real statement about the dedication of the staff choosing to give up their own time, to learn from each other, for the benefit of the children they serve."
“This type of event should be supported and celebrated, so I was delighted to be invited to spend the day at the school and to be able to thank the teachers from across the area for their dedication and commitment in person.”
