On Thursday 10th March 2017, a group of year 9 pupils visited Wilberforce College, as a part of Careers Week, to learn about the importance of mathematical skills in the workplace, employability, university or college admission, everyday life, and various jobs on the market.
The students also got the chance to explore a taste of what college is like and what is available at the college in further education, as they were required to look through the college’s prospectus, as part of an activity to find and discuss what maths skills were required to take part in that course. Additionally, the pupils also took part in class quizzes and independant challenges.
