We are delighted to announce that Malet Lambert School is hosting a Playstation School’s Cup 'Tie of the Round' match on Wednesday 26th February, with a special visit from Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone.
This is a very prestigious event for Malet Lambert to hold as only 10 schools out of over 1,500 involved have been invited to host one of these interactive activity days.
During the day, Playstation will be setting up gaming hubs where students can play FIFA14, Tom Huddlestone will be taking part in a training session with our Year 9 team before their big match and a selection of chosen students will be taking part in a ‘Question and Answer’ session with Tom and asking him questions about his career.
The event surrounds the U14 boys quarter final match between Malet Lambert and Brockington College from Leicestershire. Kick off for the match is at 3.30pm and all students and parents are welcome to come and support our team in this important game.
England School’s Football Association will also be sending football coaches who will work on essential skills with students in PE lessons throughout the day.
Local and national media will be covering the event and will be conducting interviews with Tom throughout the day.
