Pupils are taught Health and Social Care at KS4 as a single option subject.
The classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and laptop computers for each student. We have access to a wide range of resources, including DVDs. The students visit local services to enrich their subject knowledge.
Students can opt to study Health & Social Care in years 10 & 11. Pupils have five lessons per fortnight and the course is equivalent to one GCSE. Sixty percent of the final grade is evidenced by a portfolio of coursework. The course covers two units:
