When is the Summer School and what are the timings?
· Please save the date for this year’s Summer School, which is planned to take place between 8th August – 12th August.
· Pupils can arrive from 8:55 and should arrive no later than 09:00
· Pupils will be dismissed from school at 15:00 each day
Where should pupils go?
Pupils should arrive at Malet Lambert via the James Reckitt Avenue entrance at the times stated above. They will be welcomed by staff and brought into the school grounds (please note parents will not be permitted to enter the school).
What should pupils wear?
Can my child bring a mobile phone?
Mobile phones are permitted at Malet Lambert, however they must be switched off when on school premises and placed inside the pupils bag, Malet Lambert will not be held responsible for loss, theft or damage of pupils' devices whilst on site. Where pupils breach this rule the phone will be confiscated, locked in a safe place and a parent/carer will be required to collect.

What to do if your child becomes unwell and cannot attend the Summer School
On the day of the absence, please email summerschool@maletlambert.hull.sch.uk with details of the absence
What about lunch and refreshments?
Please ensure you send your child with:
*Pupils eligible for the Free School Meals programme (and registered with Hull City Council) will receive a separate email explaining how Free School Meals will be arranged. If you are eligible and haven’t received this email within 5 day please contact the school reception
What about Victoria Dock transport?
If your child attends Victoria Dock then you will receive a further email detailing transport arrangements. Please contact the school if you have not received this email within 5 days.
Can my child arrive on a bicycle / scooter?
Yes, our bicycle shelters will be available during Summer School, please note that pupils should have adequate security for their bicycle/scooter e.g. a heavy duty lock. Malet Lambert is not responsible for the loss/theft of personal belongings
Does my child need to bring any equipment?
We hope to provide each pupil with a Malet Lambert pencil case and stationery, please send your pupil with a school bag so they can carry this and their lunch and refreshments
