At Malet Lambert we take our pastoral responsibility very seriously. All staff at the school are part of a caring framework and we have a dedicated pastoral team which has specific responsibility for this provision. The first line of care is the Form Tutor who registers your child daily. It is the form tutor’s responsibility to monitor daily progress, provide encouragement and advice, coordinate reports from subject teachers and generally keep a watchful eye for signs of difficulty.
Each year group has a Progress Leader and a Pastoral Leader, whose job it is to monitor the development of the year as a whole, sort out more serious problems and contact parents where appropriate.Any of them can be contacted at the school on 374211 or here.
The team is overseen by two Assistant Head Teachers (Mr R Savage and Mr D Hudson) and the Head of School (Mr P Sprakes).
The team works closely with the Attendance Officer and Educational Welfare Officer who help us monitor absence from school.
