As a member of Bondholders, a group of businesses and educational establishments based in Hull, Malet Lambert was asked to provide some ambassadors to assist with the administration of their Bondholders Breakfast Meeting.
Despite the early start of 6.30am, six Year 11 volunteers stepped up to the mark to meet and greet hundreds of delegates as they made their way to the event, held in the Freedom Festival Big Top Tent near Humber Street.
Students were given the tasks of directing visitors to the registration tent, handing out brochures and collecting badges.
After their duties were complete, they were given a complimentary breakfast and were invited to watch presentations on the progress of Hull's City of Culture plans from Chair Rosie Millard and CEO Martin Green.
Thanks to inspiring words from event speakers and a rousing atmosphere provided by Mr Wilsons Second Liners, a brass band with a twist, students and staff left the event feeling ever excited about what 2017 holds for Hull and its community.
