Yesterday a meeting of the Governing Body took place to ensure the strategic leadership of Malet Lambert is in place for September 2015.
It has been a difficult summer for the entire school community and the governors would like to thank you for the way in which everyone has rallied round to help in so many different ways. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
As we begin to look forward the governors want to ensure that both staff and students have all the necessary support. We are determined to continue the excellent work that Malet Lambert is known for. In order to do this in a timely way, we are going to work in partnership with South Hunsley School – a national support school – until a new appointment is made. This will provide us with the strategic leadership and wise counsel that we believe will help us over the months ahead.
In the interim period we have every confidence that the school will continue to be led and managed by Patrick Sprakes and Steve Fenna, who will be known as Associate Headteachers, and will be supported by Chris Abbott, Executive Lead and National Leader in Education.
There will be an opportunity for parents to discuss the changes with the leadership team early in the autumn term.
With thanks to all parents for your continued commitment to our wonderful school.
On behalf of the Governing Body,
Ann Barker, Chair
