A group of Year 9 and 10 students have been training for the past year to become peer mentors to other students at Malet Lambert.
With the help of Head Start (an emotional well-being project, funded by the lottery) we have 20 trained mentors (NOCN level 1 and level 2).
Students have also undertaken additional training in Mental Health Awareness. Around 60 students have received support so far.
Our school is Head Start’s flagship school in peer mentoring.
Take a look at our jointly funded video, which shows students explaining more about the peer mentoring scheme and why they got involved.
