On the last Friday before half term, 28 pupils and four members of staff headed off to Heathrow Airport, on the first leg of their journey to Madrid.
During the next five days, the group visited a variety of places to fully immerse themselves in Spanish culture.
They took a tour of Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home of football team Real Madrid, which was especially exciting for fans of the game, plus pupils had the chance to watch a traditional flamenco show and visit Madrid's zoo.
El Rastro Flea Market was a perfect place for pupils to practice their Spanish, and staff encouraged them to shop and barter in the native language.
Everyone had a fantastic time, trying the many different Spanish foods on offer, and enjoying the autumn sun - the weather was beautiful during their five days there, averaging 27 degrees.
Pupils behaved impeccably throughout the trip and were a credit to the school. Thank you to Head of MFL, Mr Thompson, for organising the trip and to Mr Robinson, Mrs Sousa-Smith and Mrs Harrison for their support before and during the excursion.
